Highway miles with the engine at full operating temperature is the best possible miles a vehicle can have on it. The way you are treating this car I wouldn't be afraid to buy it at 150,000 miles. In fact I would rather have yours than the one the little old lady drove three blocks to the grocery store every day. A sustained RPM of 4000 is still WELL under red line and in top gear it will run like that for years nonstop. Last thought. You say you are coasting, I assume you mean cruising. Simply maintaining the speed without trying to accelerate or decelerate. At 100 MPH cruise you are pulling power out of that engine. It is overcoming the drag of the car. That means the engine has a load on it. That is a good thing. A truly unloaded engine as in sitting in the driveway and running at 4000 RPM for hours is not a good thing.
