Have you ever taken road trips to locations where your favourite movies were shot?
So far, I’ve been to:
South Dakota to sites where “Dances With Wolves” was filmed.
Juliette, Georgia (”Fried Green Tomatoes”)
Mackinac Island (”Somewhere in Time”)
Southern Utah (”Thelma and Louise”)
I’d love to go to the town in Scotland where “Local Hero” was shot, as well as the movie “Bandits” which was filmed down Highway 1 from Oregon to L.A. Wherever “The Princess Bride” was filmed would be cool, too.
How about you? Anywhere you’ve gone or would like to go?

Create a video blog…instantly.

You know I have never thought of that! But, we’ve been to S. Utah (just about the entire state) – “Thelma and Louise”. Also, S. Dakota, the Badlands are cool – Dances With Wolves. We have been to numerous places in Montana and I can’t come up with movie names but just about everyone films there. Seattle – Sleepless in Seattle. Streets of San Francisco (that was a cool cop show in its time) – San Francisco. Simon & Simon (another cool detective show in its time) was shot in San Diego – been there.
Oh! When in Puerto Vallarta, we went to the zoo there. The movie “Predator” was filmed where the zoo is located! It was very neat!
If I can think of more I shall return!!!!

When I was in sixth grade or so, we had some friends in high school (because we were naughty little children and them old guys were awesome at the time) and convinced one of them to steal his mom’s car and drive us out to where the Back to the Future III set was about a year before it burned down.
There is nothing like being shot at by crazy ranch hands to enhance the effect of being in a one horse movie set.
